LLANO. The original farmhouse built decades before Twin Oaks was founded. Much remodeled over the years, and repaired after a big oak fell on it, the building serves two main functions. UPDATE: last year we decided in a community meeting to rename Llano! The kitchen half of the building was named CHOP Kitchen. The offices part was named Emma Goldman Finishing School (Emma's). One reason for the change was the overt racism of the historical community Llano del Río (see Wikipedia). .
