Wood heat. Our buildings are mostly heated by wood gathered on our land and scrap from our businesses. Most of our houses use cleaner central wood heat and some have very high efficiency low pollution units.

Woodfuel shed. The shed was made substantially from scrap wood. It holds the fuel for a year's worth of heat in Tupelo building.

Forestry program. River cuts a pine tree that was crushing one of our buildings. Our forest crew does tree maintenance around all buildings and collects all our firewood each season. Locally harvested fuelwood is a key renewable resource used at Twin Oaks.
