Adrian on maypole. 7 year old Adrian climbs a maypole after the wrapping ceremony. There is a quite active pagan ritual group at Twin Oaks that leads gatherings such as this.

Ira & Gordon. Partner dancing is seen around here though much less than free form rock. There is even the occaisonal workshop such as the Swing dance taught in 2003 by Nyima.
Lune. Made up for a festival.
May day group. A fine spring ritual gathering, no doubt followed by a dance party. Oakers and ex-Oakers love the challenge of remembering the names of everyone in the photo. How many can you name?
Mud people. Remember how much fun it was to play in the mud when you were a little kid? A warm weather only activity and only for particular sensibilities...
Skyblue. Street festival garb, Charlottesville downtown mall.
Sufi circle dance. Some guests lead this circle during a Twin Oaks Anniversary.
Coyote Bar. While there isn't a lot of alcohol at Twin Oaks we do have the occasional keg, etc at some parties. Coyote sets up a bar for a party, maybe once a year(?).
Holiday picnic. Warm weather holidays often will see a cookout and/or picnic like this one by the pond.
Jonah and guest. Guess Jonah wasn't quite ready to meet Krishna.
Naming party. One of the more fun & crazy traditions of Twin Oaks. There are parties in the hammock shop to name cars and new buildings, and even the occaisonal person seeking a new name! People named at these events only occasionally stick with the typically goofy names chosen for them, but the car and building names are usually permanent.
Tattooing. Anja tattooes Sage, permanently?
Contradance at Equinox. Kathyrn calls the dance. Rollie and Mala swing.
Swing your partner. Cleo and Steve swing to a holiday contradance with a Twin Oaks band.
